Every organization sells - products, services, and/or ideas. Without sales, organizations have no revenue. Does the Bible have anything to say about sales?

Every organization, both for profit and not for profit, offers products, services, and/or ideas. Products, services, and ideas have features that may benefit buyers. To accomplish a sale, a buyer must be convinced that there are more benefits for the buyer to make the purchase than not make the purchase.

Research has demonstrated that purchasing decisions are made emotionally and justified rationally (http://strategieswork.us/publications/gleanings/mk200408.pdf).

The Bible teaches that all people are sinners by nature (Romans 3:23) and therefore tend to function selfishly.

Furthermore, the Bible teaches that people who profess Christ are to work as Christ worked and therefore to glorify God with our work (Colossians 3:17, 23).

So how do organizations glorify God as they sell to sinful people who are driven by their emotions?

This is the conundrum that every organization seeking to honor God must face.
