Strategies@Work, LLC (SAW) is a privately held global management consulting firm committed to discovering and developing an understanding of the timeless universal principles (TUP) that facilitate individual and organizational excellence.
Since 1987, SAW's founder, Dr. Gerald Chester, has provided individual and organizational consulting services to a wide variety of organizations. In 1990, Dr. Chester was challenged by his friend, Dennis Peacocke, to consider what the Bible had to say about the workplace. This led Dr. Chester on a decade-long search to understand how the TUP found in the Bible applied to management, individual workers, and organizations. The culmination of this search was the establishment of SAW and the writing of his book, Beyond Babel, in the early part of the 21st century.
Today, SAW's consulting practice is based on the following fundamental presuppositions:
The above presuppositions are consistent with a biblical worldview. Based on this worldview, SAW developed philosophy, values, principles, and practices that facilitate individual and organizational excellence, which is the basis for the consulting, training, and coaching services offered by SAW.
The mission of SAW is to train and equip individuals and organizations who desire to embrace a biblical worldview as the basis of their philosophy, value, principles, and practices. Such organizations have the greatest potential to deliver excellent products and services and to build an enduring legacy.

- God created all the principles of the universe;
- God blesses alignment with His principles;
- the best source to discern His principles (TUP) is the Bible;
- a secondary source for discerning His principles is creation interpreted biblically;
- God created every person and organization for a purpose;
- it is our individual responsibility to discern and fulfill our purpose;
- it is management's responsibility to discern the purpose of God for an organization;
- to enjoy enduring success, organizations must employ the right people; and
- individual and organizational purposes, properly discerned, are congruent.
