Consider where you learned what you know about management. Have you ever been taught management using the Bible as the textbook? If you are like most people, you learned management from experience, common sense, books, and perhaps a mentor. But most of what you know about management has probably come from empirical sources or people who, at best, only thought marginally from a biblical worldview. It seems that few have studied the Bible intentionally seeking to understand God's principles of management. The purpose of this teaching is to consider management from a biblical worldview. If you believe that God created the universe, then He must have made all the rules of the universe. And if God revealed Himself to us in the Bible, then the Bible must be a rich source of truth about all life, including business and management. Furthermore, if God grants success in His universe to those who follow His rules, why would anyone expect to enjoy enduring success in management without knowing and obeying God's rules? The thesis of this teaching is that anyone desiring long-term management success of any organization in God's universe must know and obey His rules of management.
